Once every four years, the best athletes on earth come together to compete, bringing the world together.

The Olympic Games have captivated the entire worlds attention dating back to 1896.

Since then, the international competition has only been cancelled during World War I (1916), World War II (1940, 1944), and this year (2020). 

The culprit behind the attack on this year’s international sports competition is an invisible enemy. And no one in the world is exempt from the hurt it has caused. But when the world gathers once again to witness history be made, the stories told will be that much richer. 

This website was put together by journalism students at the University of Kansas in effort to tell the stories of the great Kansas Jayhawks who are stitched into the fabric of Olympic history.
